Dr Chetna Kang and Toby Friedner discuss the growing number of people with sight loss. Much of it is preventable yet it's thought that in the next 30 years there'll be 4 million people affected.

Almost two million people in the UK are living with sight loss. That's approximately one person in 30.

The number of people in the UK with sight loss is set to increase dramatically.

It is predicted that by 2050 the number of people with sight loss in the UK will double to nearly four million.

So on today's show we'll hear from local people who have lost some or all of their sight for a variety of reasons, to understand what their lives are like.
