Victorian lace knitting in Shetland: Behind the scenes
A remote primary school in the Shetland Isles holds a lunch time knitting club. The children share their enthusiasm for knitting while trying out lace patterns, which made Shetland famous in the 1800s. The knitters get involved in learning how to operate a camera, monitor sound and various other aspects of TV production. We get to see behind the scenes as they learn about the craft and talk to a wool broker.
