Luton author calls for parents to read to their children
A mother of two from Luton and children's author says parents should read to their child at least once a day.
Elizabeth Ngozi Adonu has fostered such a love of reading in her children aged 8 and 10 they now read to her.
The author believes reading provides vital skills for life like listening, debating and leadership.
Elizabeth has just published the first in a series of books aimed at primary school children as part of the Smart Reading Child Project.
In this clip she tells our reporter Matt Lockwood that reading should be fun and not seen as a chore.
