Child protection in madrassas and mosques in Bradford
Child protection and recognizing the signs of child abuse are just a couple of the areas that teachers and staff in madrassas and mosques need to be trained in. That's what a safeguarding report for madrassas had to say when it was unveiled in Bradford last week.
It was the result of consultations with key organisations that included the NSPCC and representatives of mosques from Bradford and Keighley.
Rafiq Saghal is the senior Vice President for the Council of Mosques in Bradford. He is also the Chair on the steering group responsible for the Safeguarding Report.
