The Skipton woman attending the United Nations conference
From Monday the 4th to Friday the 15th of March, thousands of participants will gather at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. It’s for the annual Commission on the Status of Women.
This year the focus is on the prevention of all forms of violence against women and girls. Yesmien Bagh Ali is from Skipton and will be there. She has worked in the field for many years.
