Speaking out: Domestic abuse
Journalist Savita Kaye recently wrote an article calling for women from Britain's South Asian communities to start speaking out about domestic abuse. In it, she tells the story of a Nottingham mother, who was regularly beaten up by her husband and mother-in-law in front of her two young children. A horrific account, but not an uncommon one in South Asian communities, according to Savita.
