Mixed heritage, religion and politics in the Middle East - religious sites in Israel (pt 4/7)
Reya El-Salahi, a mixed race girl with a Jewish mother and Arab Muslim father heads to Jerusalem to research her heritage. She finds that the cultures in Jerusalem don't mix, and as she tries to visit holy sites from both religions she discovers that there are problems on both sides. Reya discusses how being mixed race can be both positive and negative.
This is the personal journey of presenter Reya El-Salahi and also features contributors with extreme religious and political views. It deals with conflict in Israel and the Middle East from both the Jewish Israeli and Palestinian Arab sides. Issues of race, religion and contentious politics are explored.
