Sir Richard Rodney Bennett lives and works in New York, but returns ‘home’ to London three times a year to spend time and perform on stage with his close friend – British jazz singer - Claire Martin.

They met in Glasgow 17 years ago and immediately struck up a close bond. Now, despite the Atlantic Ocean between them, they speak almost daily and share their combined love of life and music with each other.

Their conversation reveals uncharacteristic vulnerability and neither were prepared for the revelations about receiving therapy.
