Held Hostage: Debbie and Leslie
In 1990, during the Gulf War, Debbie and Leslie were taken hostage for a period of three months as 鈥榟uman shield guests鈥� by Saddam鈥檚 Army at the Monsour Melia hotel in Iraq. During this time Leslie proposed and the story of their marriage became a weapon of propaganda as Debbie was given the title 鈥楤ride of Baghdad鈥�.
