Is the technology to be feared or embraced, and are the custodians of that technology to be trusted?

Farmers in Kenya have increasingly been turning to an SMS system to help them monitor their livestock. Click's Michael Kaloki reports on the world of opportunity to farmers offered up by iCow. He talks to the founder of iCow and hears from farmers about how the technology is being used in monitoring everything from birth and gestation of cows to the price of farming produce.

The artist known has Scanner has embraced digital technology since the late 1980s. He has been at the forefront of how the technology can be used to enhance film and music and to lead to innovation. Gareth Mitchell visits him at a studio where he puts the finishing touches to a new film and also ahead of his appearance at the Brighton Festival in Southern England for his digital re-working of the post-punk band, Joy Division.
