Two social workers who were sacked over the death of Baby P have started an appeal against their dismissal, Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has dismissed criticism that the government's work experience scheme for young people amounts to ‘slave labour’ and councils have spent more than £500 million installing and operating CCTV cameras over the last 4 years.
