Early Tank Crew Uniforms
David Willey, curator of the Tank Museum in Bovigton, Dorset takes modern tank crews behind the scenes, into the museum's stores. Here he shows them the uniforms worn by their predecessors. This includes a chainmail mask and a helmet which was so similar to a german design that crews bailing out of damaged tanks were shot at by their own side.
