Professor John Kenneth Galbraith is the Paul M Warburg Professor of Economics at Harvard University and is the author of 'The Affluent Society'. In his Reith series entitled 'The New Industrial State', he explores the economics of production.

In this lecture entitled 'The Cultural Impact', Professor Galbraith discusses the consequences of modern economic life. He considers economic goals versus the aesthetic beauty of a State, and contemplates how to view industrial efficiency and cost versus the environment we live in. How much is our cultural State worth?
