Stephen Sackur talks to Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini. Is his government driven by principle or populism?
Franco Frattini has been Italy’s foreign minister twice - the first time 2002–2004 and this time since May 2008.
In between he’s been Vice-President of the European Commission responsible for Justice, Freedom and Security, a job he did for more than three years.
He talks to Stephen Sackhur about NATO's role in Libya, the huge influx of refugees from North Africa arriving on Italian shores, and Silvio Berlusconi.
