Alan Johnston takes a closer look at some of the stories in the world news: today from Hungary and Malaysia.
In this, the first of the new Monday - Friday editions of From Our Own Correspondent, Nick Thorpe is in Eastern Hungary, where there is gathering tension over a pledge by right wing vigilantes to impose order on a town where, they say, crime is running out of control.
And in Malaysia -- communal issues of a different kind. There are claims not enough is being done to integrate the country's Malay, Chinese and Indian cultures. Jennifer Pak in Kuala Lumpur has been noting the national preocupation with race and religion.
