Mental health and singing

Ruth Le-Goff explains why she joined a community choir set up by mental health service users in Slough.

Doesn't it seem like the world is divided into two types of people; those for whom having a good sing is a life-affirming joy, and those for whom singing is an embarrassment to be avoided at all costs. For those who don't sing they don't know what they're missing. Singing really IS good for you, particularly if your life is plagued by mental health problems. A new community choir in Slough set up by mental health service users was formed just over a year ago and they are currently practising for a concert at the West Wing Arts Centre

成人快手 Radio Berkshire's Bill Buckley asked service user Ruth Le-Goff why she started using the choir.
