North Korea : Singing waitresses in Pyongyang
Sit back and enjoy the first ever radio programme recorded in the isolated and extraordinary country of North Korea. Andy Kershaw has described this as the "last great adventure on planet Earth". Even with all the restrictions and supervision, Radio 3 managed to record the music of local musicians.
In this clip, Andy travels to a duck BBQ restaurant in Pyongyang where the waitresses sing about cold noodles and pickled cabbage.
