Northampton man in running for 成人快手 award
John Daly, from Far Cotton helps keep youngsters on the straight and narrow at his boxing club. All his work, 4 nights a week and weekends, is voluntary. John's now been nominated for a 成人快手 award.
Hear the story of John Daly, from Northampton, who was a professional boxer for ten years.
After giving up boxing, he spent years away from the sport. 7 years ago, John was stabbed 39 times in a frenzied attack and, after recovering, vowed to help combat anti-social behaviour and violence.
John set up the Far Cotton Boxing Club and has been coaching youngsters ever since.
John gives his time for free and has now been nominated for the 成人快手 East Sport Unsung Hero of the Year Award. John finds out whether he has won later in the week.
