Debating the tone of coverage in Sudan, and investigating the change of frequency for listeners in Berlin.

As the people of Southern Sudan prepare for a decisive referendum that could split the country, Rajan Datar discusses how international media is covering the upcoming vote.

Tamim Foda, a listener from Cairo, contacted us to express his concerns that the 成人快手 has perhaps been a little too optimistic about the anticipated outcome of the referendum and Rajan invites him to talk to Solomon Mugera, 成人快手 Editor Africa Region, and Gill Lusk, a specialist on Sudan, as they discuss the challenges the media faces when reporting on a situation as complex and unprecedented as this.

He also hears from World Service listeners in Berlin who are distraught that they can no longer tune in to their favourite radio station on the regular FM frequency and investigates what鈥檚 been going on.
