The establishment of Donaghadee
Sam McAughtry explains how Hugh Montgomery came to settle Donaghadee in 1606, bringing Scots settlers with him to the area. We hear about the French 'Delacherois' family, who are responsible for the original layout of Donaghadee. Sam takes a walk through an old cemetery in Donaghadee to find out more about the first Scottish settlers to the area. (Broadcast: 27th April 1988)
