Alan explains how to apply the borrowed view principal to a smaller plot. It's a clever way to use it to mask an unwanted sight in your garden.
The idea was used at Stowe to open up the estate to the greater landscape by removing hedges and walls and creating a 'Ha-Ha', a ditch that offered unspoilt views of the surrounding area whilst providing a boundary to farm animals and locals.
