A visit to The Globe Inn in Dumfries
Liam Logan visits the oldest pub in Dumfries, ‘The Globe Inn’ in High Street established in 1610, where he meets Jane Brown, the Proprietor in the howff.
Robert Burns lodged in this pub for a time - and also frequented it as a customer.
Jane points out ‘The Poetry Chair’ and takes Liam to the Burns Bedroom where the bard once stayed.
Jane points out the etchings engraved in the room which have been authenticated.
