Ulster-Scots Re-enactments
The Ulster-Scots Agency are running a number of conferences entitled ‘Ulster-Scots Treading the Boards’.
Liam Logan attends the ‘Re-enactment Conference’ in the Belmont House Hotel, Banbridge where he catches up with Martin Francis, who is Chairman of ‘The Best of Times, Worst of Times’ re-enactment group; while Flora Fairburn, a Tudor wench, tells Liam about her costume.
Glenn enjoys re-enacting the German side of world war history; and we also come across Colonel John Singleton Mosby, Deputy Commander of the Rising Sons of Dixie (a.k.a. Richard Broadhurst of Lisburn) who talks about how re-enactment can really bring history to life. (Broadcast: 4 Nov 2006)
