Ulster-Scots Border Counties Gathering
Liam Logan meets up with Diane Hoy of the Ulster-Scots Heritage Council to find out about a month-long event she has organised - the first ever Ulster-Scots Border Counties Gathering.
It begins in Donegal town with a launch and lecture on Hamilton & Montgomery.
In week 2 the event moves to Letterkenny to look at Weaver Poets, followed by Monaghan in Week 3 with the theme of Ulster-Scots Presbyterian Heritage.
In Cavan, the fourth week again takes the theme of Hamilton & Montgomery - and the whole programme includes workshops on music, language and dance. (Broadcast: 8 Oct 2006)
