1606 - A Conference in the Linenhall Library
On the 400th anniversary of the Hamilton & Montgomery settlement of the Ards, the Institute of Ulster-Scots Studies has put on a one-day conference on the subject in the Linenhall Library.
Organiser, Dr Billy Kelly, tells Liam Logan about the significance of the 1606 project.
Dr John McCavitt discusses the political situation in Ulster in 1606; while Dr Alison Cathcart from the University of Strathclyde delivers a paper about earlier connections between Scotland and Ulster. (Broadcast: 1 Oct 2006)
