Piping at the Broadisland Gathering
Liam Logan is in Ballycarry, between Whitehead and Larne, home of Ireland’s first Presbyterian minister who came over from Scotland in 1613 - Reverend Edward Brice. Each year, the community organise an event called ‘The Broadisland Gathering’ to reflect on their history and heritage - and at this, the 14th Gathering, Liam meets John Fittas and his sons who talk about the piping tradition in their family.
