St Patrick's Day Ploughing in Ballycastle
Liam Logan, Sammy Agnew and James Fenton visit the annual St Patrick鈥檚 Day ploughing match in Ballyvoy near Ballycastle.
Bob Cooper sets the scene describing the horses and recalling his young days at the plough, in the days before tractors.
Sam Forsythe is one of the spectators; and Liam also hears from judge, John Gill from Killinchy about what he looks for in the drills.
The men talk about the various ploughs and the terminology used in the task, and local man, Alec McMullan who is leading the horses, tells Liam about the work. (Broadcast: 27 Mar 2005)
