The Young Ones brought alternative comedy into the television mainstream in the early 1980s. In the episode 鈥極il鈥�, Vyvyan announces that he has discovered oil in the cellar. He forms a coalition with Mike 鈥楨l Presidente鈥� to use Rick and Neil as oil-digging slaves. Here Vyvyan chastises Rick and Neil with a cricket bat when he discovers they have had a house meeting.
