Charlie continues his occasional series of World Hits starting with two Mediterranean singers from different generations: Bob Azzam and Khaled. Made up of siblings from the Muparutsa family and friends, the RUNN Family pays tribute to the president of Mozambique Samora Machel who met an untimely death in 1986. From the other side of the globe, Trio Los Paraguayos existed in various guises for nearly five decades but their heyday came in the 1950s with Malaguena and Pajaro Campana. Two Caribbean tracks end the programme: Jean and Dinah won Trinidad鈥檚 Calypso Monarch competition for The Mighty Sparrow while Arrow鈥檚 Hot Hot Hot is forever linked to the 1986 football World Cup.
