Since 9/11 sniffer dogs are increasingly being used in the name of crime fighting and security. The canine sense of smell is a thousand times more powerful than ours. But how can these animals be trained to smell a counterfeit banknote from a stash of real ones, detect a gram of cocaine in a package of flour, or find a body that鈥檚 been buried for decades?
