Putting the Tee in Technology
Paul Carter has been to one major robot manufacturer's centre of operations and looks at the future of robotic surgery, as well as getting an inside look at some real-life surgery.
Each year there are more than five million surgical procedures that take place in the UK alone. But if you're unfortunate to need to go under the knife, there's a growing likelihood that it won't be a human hand holding it. Robotic surgery is on the rise, and becoming increasingly advanced. But the investigation last week into the death attributed to robotic surgery shows that cutting edge technology may have extraordinary potential, but it still requires correct implementation. Paul Carter has been to one major robot manufacturer's centre of operations and looks at the future of robotic surgery, as well as getting an inside look at some real-life surgery.
And away from the world of medicine we talk to Hollywood legend Sean Bean about appearing in new video game Hitman 2 and take to the famous Wentworth Golf Club with Open winner and Ryder Cup hero Francesco Molinari to discuss how technology has changed the way he approaches the game of golf.
