Paramedics in Edinburgh race to a building site where a wall has collapsed on a team of workers. Meanwhile, ambulances in Airdrie are sent to the scene of a serious fire.

In Edinburgh, reports come in concerning a serious incident at a building site in the centre of the city. Ambulance crew Hollie and Julie race to the scene expecting to help two injured builders. Unfortunately, it becomes clear when they arrive that there are far more casualties than expected, and that the scene of the accident is more challenging than first thought. Police and the fire service arrive to assist in rescuing the injured.

In the Borders, Mark and Lee take a seriously injured woman who has been kicked by a horse to Borders General Hospital. It soon becomes apparent that the kick has caused some serious damage to the patient鈥檚 kidney, and she needs specialist care as soon as possible.

A worried mother in Ayr calls 999 when her toddler begins having a seizure. Medics Shelby and Sophie attend the scene and are immediately concerned when the child does not respond to medication. Shelby has to use her knowledge and experience to diagnose the reason for the child鈥檚 condition.

The Special Operations Response Team are sent to a serious fire in a derelict building. As they make their way to the scene, the team receives worrying news that there may be a group of youngsters trapped in the burning building.
