The players have one minute to study the board on the projector and memorise the position of all 26 pieces before it disappears. They then have one further minute to position their own pieces on the chess board in front of them. With 26 points up for grabs, how powerful are the players' memories when under strict time pressure, and what techniques can they use to keep the positions of all the pieces in their minds?
