In St Agnes, the crew are involved in a race against time to rescue two young men. They are reported to be struggling in the water near a notorious headland known as Tubby鈥檚 Head.

There are now over 600 women who are active lifeboat crew, a number which has doubled in the last ten years. In Calshot, Kelley volunteered for the crew 18 months ago, despite not having any boating experience. Now she鈥檚 a valued part of the team and plays a key role in a desperate search for two jetskiers - a father and son - who have capsized near Hythe Marina.

In Whitby, north Yorkshire, Leah is training to be the station鈥檚 first female helm; her skills are put to the test when the crew are called out to rescue a walker who鈥檚 fallen and injured her leg on inaccessible rocks by the seal colony at Ravenscar.

At Hoylake, on the Wirral Peninsula, Emily and the crew respond to a report about two dog walkers who are stuck in the mud. They are up to their waists in water, and the tide is coming in.
