Zola Marcelle鈥檚 Flowers
The vocalist on the rise has four bouquets to give to artists she admires this week.
鈥楻ound Midnight is presented by award-winning saxophonist Soweto Kinch. This weekday late-night show celebrates the thriving UK jazz scene and spotlights the best new music alongside incredible acts from past decades.
From Monday to Thursday this week, Soweto welcomes the Zimbabwean-born, UK raised vocalist Zola Marcelle as his Flowers guest. Zola has already performed at notable venues including Wembley Stadium, O2 Islington, The Royal Albert Hall, and has collaborated with peers including Ashley Henry and Hunrosa.
She now steps forward as a solo artist with her debut album 鈥湷扇丝焓肘��, which was released on the 28th March 2025 via jazz re:freshed.
Each night Zola will be giving Flowers to some of the artists she admires and would like to celebrate. Beginning her week, Zola chooses one of South Africa鈥檚 leading contemporary singers.
