Ceiliúradh ar an CCG, An Coiste TéarmaÃochta. ILBF Celebration, Terminology Committee.
Cad é an Ghaeilge ar ‘Catfish?’ SuÃonn Máire sÃos le duine ón Choiste TéarmaÃochta, an Dr Gearóid Ó CleircÃn, le cluinstin faoin dóigh a chumann siad focail agus téamaà úra sa Ghaeilge. Chomh maith leis sin, tá an Ciste Craoltóireachta Gaeilge ag ceiliúradh 20 bliain ar an fhód i mbliana agus tá tuairisc speisialta againn uaidh sin agus cluineann muid seanfhocal eile ón tsraith Cumhacht na bhFocal - tá ceann na hoÃche anocht ó Chatriona Nà GhribÃn, Maireann an chraobh ar an fhál ach nà mhaireann an lámh do chuir.
Have you ever thought about how new words are created in Irish? Well, it turns out there is a whole committee that meets once a month to work them out and Máire got to sit down with one of the members, Dr Gearóid Ó CleircÃn, to hear all about it, including how they decided to translate the word Catfish – not the fish itself, but the term for someone who sets up a fake online profile to trick another. We also have a special report from the Irish Language Broadcast Fund’s 20th birthday celebration and hear another proverb from our series Cumhacht na bhFocal - tonight’s is from Catriona Nà GhribÃn, Maireann an chraobh ar an fhál ach nà mhaireann an lámh do chuir.
