with Cathy Macdonald

Cathy discusses burnout with Dr Clare Ashley, the role of Eastenders to enact social change, a new Jewish-Muslim Reconciliation Accord and Dr Rangan Chatterjee's Spiritual Life.

What does the term ‘burnout’ mean to you? As daily stresses are on the rise for 91% of adults across the UK, Cathy speaks to ‘burnout doctor’ Dr Claire Ashley about how emotional fatigue can manifest both physically and mentally and how sufferers can get on the road to recovery.

As the third anniversary since Russia's invasion of Ukrainian draws near, Cathy chats to Ukrainian screenwriter and film director Pavlo Ostrikov about his new sci-fi film ‘U Are The Universe’ that was shot partly on location in Ukraine. Together they explore its themes of connection and discuss the importance of creativity in the face of adversity.

Joining Cathy to discuss his Spiritual Life this week is ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Breakfast GP and host of the Feel Better, Live More podcast Dr Rangan Chatterjee. Together they discuss the role his father’s illness played in helping him let go of perfectionism to redefine his definition of success. Cathy also finds out about his current inspirational storytelling night on tour across the UK.

This week’s Faith Forum panel consists of writer and broadcaster Fiona Stewart, member of the Reformed Jewish community David Goodman and Islamic scholar Yahya Barry.

Up first for discussion is a new documentary exposing the dark secrets behind a cult in New Zealand called Gloriavale. The panel examines why certain religious groups can descend into coercive behaviour, and the patterns they follow.

All week, there have been special episodes and celebrations as the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ’s long-running soap opera Eastenders marks its 40th anniversary. This week’s panel asks: do soaps have the power to affect change in society?

And after a recent Reconciliation Accord was signed by Jewish and Muslim leaders from across Britain, and welcomed by the King, the Faith Forum panel explores what it really means for relationships between these Abrahamic religions. Can religions co-exist or is there always an inevitable tension between them?
