Who Has 99 Odd Socks?

Episode 1 of 6

Stacey and her team tackle the memory-filled home of the Appleyards, a lively family of six with triplet boys.

The average family home is overflowing with thousands of items we don鈥檛 need, often causing stress and chaos. But what if everything you owned was laid out in front of you, forcing you to decide what to keep and what to let go of?

Join tidying extraordinaire Stacey Solomon and her expert team - organiser Dilly, carpenter Rob and cleaner Iwan - as they help families overhaul their homes and lives. In each episode, a family undertakes a life-changing declutter, while the team delivers a budget-friendly makeover and a supersized spring clean, all within just seven days.

In this episode, the Appleyards, a lively family of six, call on Stacey and her gang to help transform their cluttered three-bedroom home. Stacey challenges them to sort their life out in just seven days by letting go of half their belongings, paving the way for a beautifully reorganised and functional space.

With Stacey and the team鈥檚 help, the family begin by packing all their possessions into boxes, stripping every item from their rented home to reveal the hidden potential beneath the chaos. Throughout the process, we get to know sentimental parents Helen and Phil, who after a difficult journey to grow their family have kept every memory and achievement of their children - 14-year-old Annabelle and 12-year-old triplets Josiah, Daniel and Reuben. The family need to be close to the triplets' specialist schools, so are unable to move out of the area to rent a bigger house. It鈥檚 therefore crucial that the team maximise the space they have.

Once packed, the family鈥檚 belongings are displayed in a vast warehouse - an awe-inspiring art installation of their lives. Among the 400 boxes unpacked from the Appleyards' home, the team find over 2,000 greeting cards, 74 Christmas pine cones and 99 odd socks. There are emotional moments when the decluttering begins, as a sentimental Helen struggles to let go of anything that represents the children鈥檚 achievements. Helen opens up about why it鈥檚 so hard for her to let go and shares her story of pregnancy and baby loss before having the triplets.

Meanwhile, back at the house, carpenter Rob faces the challenge of creating a space for three growing teenage boys, crafting a clever triple bunk bed to give Daniel, Josiah and Reuben their own personal space.

Finally, with the most treasured and essential items carefully chosen, Stacey and the team pack everything back into the house, transforming it into a stylish and functional home. Iwan spring-cleans and Dilly uses her organisational expertise to create practical storage solutions for this busy household.

It鈥檚 a race against the clock to complete the makeover before the family鈥檚 return. Will the team鈥檚 efforts to declutter, organise and upcycle bring about the organised home the Appleyards have been dreaming of?
