The Buddha and the Lotus
Tahmina Ghaffar leans into her specialism on a trip with David Harper. They whirl round the south west and pick a mix of Chinese silk, Indian tea paraphernalia and a European zither.
Auctioneer extraordinaire Tahmina Ghaffar and sweet-talking dealer David Harper are motoring on in the fourth leg of their road trip.
Tahmina鈥檚 determined to come out on top today, so she follows her passions. Sojourning through the south west, Tahmina鈥檚 drawn to all things eastern, including Chinese silk lotus shoes, a temple bronze and an Islamic scribe鈥檚 tool made out of brass, whereas David casts his net wide on a tea picker鈥檚 basket, a tobacco jar and some Georgian furniture.
They stop off in Hereford to explore the cathedral鈥檚 amazing, chained library and uncover the stories on its mappa mundi. But as they head to auction, the white gloves are off!
