Jess Gillam is joined by conductor Tess Jackson to share the tracks they love. Between them they have chosen music by Verdi, Janacek, Dorothy Howell, Sidney Bechet and Tom Misch.

Tess Jackson began learning the piano and violin aged six and was inspired to start conducting aged fourteen. She is currently Associate Conductor of the National Youth Orchestra, making her debut at the 成人快手 Proms in 2024. She has worked with a range of top ensembles including City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, London Mozart Players and the Philharmonia Orchestra.
