Designing their most ambitious room to date, Amanda and Alan go Moorish-crazy in the master bedroom suite. With two interlinked rooms to tackle, the best pals divide and conquer as Amanda steers the ship in the bedroom whilst Alan takes charge in the adjoining lounge. But creative tensions soon arise when Amanda wants to get rid of Alan鈥檚 favourite curved arch which links the spaces together.

In a bid to convince Amanda that the arch needs to stay, Alan whisks her off to one of the most spectacular sites in Seville, Plaza de Espa帽a, a Renaissance and Moorish revival-style square, where a colonnade of 48 arches take centre stage. Finally convinced that there are some arches that she can appreciate, Amanda caves in and allows Alan to have his way.

Hoping to outshine Alan鈥檚 room, Amanda pushes the envelope, designing an ornate Moorish statement headboard. Undeterred, Alan aims to steal focus with his own elaborate wall of arches and a fancy ceiling design inspired by the Alhambra Palace. Alan takes his friend Ian along to visit a local plaster artisan in the hope of learning the art of making ornate Moorish ceilings, but the plasterer has other ideas and isn鈥檛 keen to let Alan get involved!

Putting their differences aside, the DIY duo take some much-needed time out to explore the picturesque coastline of Nerja, but there鈥檚 trouble at sea. When Alan decides to take a shortcut, he ends up capsizing their kayak! Back on dry land, Amanda and Alan spruce up for Moclin鈥檚 annual flamenco festival and even throw some shapes of their own.
