Accordion
Nigel Havers presides as five sellers aim to get the best price for their items, including a picnic set, German lamps, dining table, an accordion and a Lego structure.
Nigel Havers welcomes sellers of collectibles and curiosities to the Bidding Room's home in Edinburgh, where they ply their wares to five dealers.
First through the doors is Molly, hoping the dealers will make life a picnic for her. The 1950s picnic hamper she鈥檚 brought along has been loved and used by her, but now it鈥檚 time to sell it on to raise some funds for a beekeeping course. Will the dealers offer her enough money to make some honey?
Next in are Sue and Dave, with a pair of lamps that have caused division at home. The 1970s fat lava lamps appealed to Dave, but Sue is not a fan, so she's got them out of her house and into the room, where she and Dave are hoping the dealers will see them beauty in them, even if Sue doesn鈥檛.
Third to arrive at Edinburgh HQ is Leith local Theresa. She鈥檇 like the dealers to put their cards on the ornate dining table that鈥檚 been hosting many a dining party over the years.
Fourth in is Pembe. A 1920s accordion she once found in a wardrobe in Australia has now made its way to the room in hopes of squeezing out some bids from the dealers and raising some money for a cause close to Pembe鈥檚 heart.
Finally, it鈥檚 Damien with his daughters Ana and Ola. They鈥檝e brought a Lego structure with hopes it鈥檚 built up in value over the years. The family鈥檚 master construction of retro toy bricks may be the only one ever made, but will the dealers be able to piece together the right price for it?
The dealers today are Ian, Melissa, Sam, Jo and James.
