Techno music is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in Detroit in the late 1980s. Characterised by repetitive beats, synthesised sounds and futuristic themes, it often features a steady 4/4 beat and emphasises rhythm over melody.

Pete shares some seminal tracks from the genre from the likes of Jeff Mills, Joey Beltram, Robert Hood, Amelie Lens, Inner City, Richie Hawtin and more.
