Tech house is a subgenre of house music that combines stylistic features of techno with house. Emerging in the mid-1990s as a reaction to the explosion and popularisation of house music, tech house was created by DJs in UK clubs. In recent times, tech house is one of dance music's most popular subgenres, dominating festival stages and clubs across the world.
