After a highly anticipated new work written for the orchestra by long-time Rattle collaborator Thomas Ad猫s, we conclude our Bruckner 200th-anniversary celebrations. Few scores convey Anton Bruckner鈥檚 distinctive combination of mystery and warmth like his Symphony No. 4, the so-called 鈥楻omantic鈥� symphony that has proved his most enduringly popular.
