Vernon Kay is joined by one of the UK鈥檚 most successful songwriters, who鈥檚 been described as having an exuberant ear for melody and his lyrics a keen eye and a brilliant wit. Paul Heaton picks his Tracks of My Years.

Paul first emerged in the 80s as the front man of The Housemartins - counting Norman Cook among his bandmates 鈥� and scored hits with 鈥淐aravan of Love鈥� and 鈥淗appy Hour鈥�. Then with 鈥淪ong For Whoever鈥�, 鈥淩otterdam鈥� and 鈥淒on鈥檛 Marry Her鈥� he then went on to even greater success in The Beautiful South.

After releasing several solo albums, in 2014 Paul reunited with his former Beautiful South bandmate Jacqui Abbott to release a new album. 'What Have We Become?' It was a critical success and they went on to record five acclaimed albums as a duo.

He certainly isn鈥檛 slowing down, earlier this year Paul performed at Glastonbury; he鈥檒l be heading to Preston for Radio 2 in the Park next week, and in November he鈥檒l be out on tour with the release of his a new album, "The Mighty Several".
