Looking ahead to the Lancaster Jazz Festival

A trio of tunes from artists on the bill of the Lancaster Jazz Festival.

Round Midnight is presented by award-winning saxophonist Soweto Kinch. This weekday late-night show celebrates the thriving UK jazz scene and spotlights the best new music alongside incredible acts from past decades.

Christian McBride has been Soweto's 4/4 guest this week selecting a beautiful range of music from his record collection. He ends his time on the show with Samara Joy. Christian's latest album with Edgar Meyer, But Who's Gonna Play The Melody? is out now. Soweto looks ahead to next month's Lancaster Jazz Festival (11-15th September), by playing a trio of tunes from Hippo, Camilla George and Charlotte Keefe.

There's also time for cuts by Walter Smith III, Hiro Ama and Makushin.
