The evening kicks off with the women鈥檚 100m freestyle, and Australia鈥檚 double world champion Mollie O鈥機allaghan appears the one to beat. Brit Anna Hopkin finished seventh in this event three years ago.
With the USA鈥檚 defending champion Caeleb Dressel failing to qualify for the men鈥檚 100m freestyle event, the door could be open for Tokyo silver medallist Kyle Chalmers, while Great Britain鈥檚 Matt Richards and home favourite Maxime Grousset could also push for the podium.
Elsewhere, American legend Katie Ledecky is favourite to further increase her medal haul in the women鈥檚 1,500m final, and France鈥檚 five-time world champion Leon Marchand is also in action.
