Aerosmith, the Stones and 40 Years of FM!
Johnnie marks the release of two classic rock albums from the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith, and FM frontman Steve Overland picks his Rock God.
This week in 1972, the Rolling Stones unveiled their double album 'Exile On Main Street'. Tales of the recording of the album, at Keith Richards' opulent rented villa in the South of France, are now firmly wedged in rock history, as is the sound of the album, which was fast, loose and captured the sound of a band on the edge of brilliance. Fast forward to 1993, and Aerosmith released their massive commercial hit, 'Get a Grip', which propelled the band back into the centre of the rock world to the tune of 20 million copies sold, two Grammy awards and a huge world tour. Hear a track on Johnnie's 'Live And Dangerous' slot.
British rockers FM celebrate 40 years this year - they've just released a new album and they're currently on tour. Frontman Steve Overland is celebrating by choosing his Rock God on the show this week.
