Vernon Brings The Big Tunes!

Radio 2's new Saturday mid-morning presenter Romesh Ranganathan chooses his Tracks Of My Years all this week. Plus there’s Album and Record Of The Week and more Ten To The Top.

Radio 2's new Saturday mid-morning presenter - comedian and actor Romesh Ranganathan - chooses the songs that soundtrack his life all this week on Tracks Of My Years.

Having taught maths at the secondary school he went to as a kid, Romesh left his job to start doing comedy full-time in 2011.

Since then, Romesh has appeared on countless panel shows, embarked on sold out UK tours and presented a variety of different shows, whether off round the world with his mum in ‘Asian Provocateur’ or taking up the mantle of presenter of the iconic ‘The Weakest Link’. He also writes and stars in the sitcom ‘Avoidance’, a new series of which is on the way.

Romesh is currently on his nearly sold out UK tour, Hustle, which runs until the start of June. As well as presenting For The Love Of Hip Hop on Saturday mornings midnight – 1am, he’s also taking over from Claudia Winkleman on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio 2 from 10am-1pm on Saturdays from April.

Romesh's two penultimate tracks come from Eminem and Beyonce.

There'll also be more audio nuggets from the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Archive in Vernon's Vault; there's Record and Album Of The Week and and two more contestants try their luck in the mid-morning music quiz, Ten To The Top.
